Sandhill Cranes
Its because of them that the Whooping cranes survived, because thanks to them the people behind operation migration was able to train Whooping cranes to migrate to Florida and they survived.
Whooping Cranes
Sooooo.....again hi here is my new blog entry
so we were seeing in class about some endangered species in the animal kingdom and this one specially caught my atention, because there was about 14 in the 1940's i think, and there was a special operation which was called operation migration, and involved ultralight airplanes and people dressed as Whooping cranes lol and whooping cranes instinct.
but theres a thing that makes me even madder!! that they almost dissapeared because of human's fault, because of the cities expansion in North america...

USA Immigration groups
Ever since the United States were founded or done (i don't know how you would say it :P) the USA has been a country that has a lot of opportunities for jobs, a good economy and the people that live there usually live better than in other countries, and thats only one of the causes for people to immigrate to the United States, apart from wanting a better live (I want to live there too lol XP).
Sooo...this entry is to make people know the difficulties of other people outside of the US

Holy Week!! :D
Yeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!! :D XD

At laaaaassstt!!! finally HOLY WEEK IS HERE!!! I thank God so much because of Holy Week...not only because its the time of the year were Jesus carried the cross, but its also the first vacations we have on the year....and i waited for it so much ;'D
But anyways...i wanted to tell you guys what Holy Week is about, because Holy Week isn't just vacations, but Holy Week is the time we celebrate that Jesus saved us humans by carrying the cross and he died on the cross, just for love!!
Well Holy Week is actually that, but it doesn't have a actual date that we have to follow, it actually changes dates every year because of the moons location, and the climate, becaus when Jesus died, the clouds turned black, and there was a severe earthquake and massive rain!!
So we try to have Holy Week in a week that has those qualities so it resembles the scenary of the first Holy Week
So....Holy Week isn't celebrated in a lot of countries, I think that all of Latin America celebrates Holy Week, but apart from that, i don't know any country that celebrates Holy Week, and I think that it is only a Catholic custom, or maybe some other christian religions too.
And another think i like about Holy Week is the food we eat, tamales, chuchitos, fiambre and other things, but i like them all!!
I love that food so much!!! :D I'm actually kind of hungry right now, so i'll leave you with that, tell me anything else you know about these, comment, and rate!! So goodbye!!

Different animal Relationships! :D
Ok...sooo i was in class the other day, and my teacher started to talk about different animal relationships, and as a homework, we have to make a blog entry about it, and its not boring, actually it gets kind of interesting....sooo here it is:>>>>>>>
First...symbiosis...is close and often long-term interactions between different biological species. In 1877 Bennett used the word symbiosis (which previously had been used of people living together in community) to describe the mutualistic relationship in lichens. In 1879 defined it as "the living together of unlike organisms."
There are 3 main types of symbiotic relationships:
Mutualism

which is when the two animals are getting benefits from their relationship, like in this image, the clownfish and the anemonae are both getting benefits, the clownfish gets protection, and the anemonae gets nutrients and other stuff.

Internet extension!!
The other day as I was on the internet, and I had a lot of explorer windows open and I noticed that almost every one of them, had diferent extensions on their web adresses, and I didn't even know their meanings, and as I had nothing to do, I started to look for their meanings, and I even made kind of a list, which I will post here:
- .com represents the word "commercial," and is the most widely used extension in the world. Most businesses prefer a .com domain name because it is a highly recognized symbol for having a business presence on the Internet.
- .net represents the word "network," and is most commonly used by Internet service providers, Web-hosting companies or other businesses that are directly involved in the infrastructure of the Internet. This is why "Dr. Bill Bailey.NET" is called ".NET" since we are a web site hosting service. Additionally, some businesses choose domain names with a .net extension for their intranet Websites.

And I made it on a mini size so you had trouble reading it XD ROFLMFAOLOL!!!
hahahahahaha XP
I was lazy, so I didn't put them in a chart, I just put them randomly.
A teacher asked me what I was doing with that list, and said that if you know about extensions, then you know about the reliability of the web page you are seeing! So in reliability, when you are trying to learn something, or you want accurate information for a investigation, then the best would be like: .gov, .edu, .org, and the best would be .info.
So there you have my list, their reliabilities of web extensions, goodbye, see you another time!!

Survival Skills!!!
Survival skills are skills that obviously you use to survive, usually in dangerous situations, like natural disasters I'm going to put in here a list of survival skills, equipment, and organizations that offer survival skills courses.
Ok, so survival skills could be the ones that provide us with all the human necessities, like water, food, shelter & habitat, or they can be the ones that can save us from other dangers, or establish communication with somebody in the need of help like the need to think straight, to signal for help, to travel safely from place to place, or anything like that, but theres a lot of people that dont only use this skills on survival situations, but they use them for recreation, and to interact with nature safely, or anything like that.
Ok...so the skills you need are:
Shelter building
Fire making
Water recolecting
First Aid
Navigation skills
and of course, mental preparedness
And you can learn this skills by either the not so good way, watching the worst case on Discovery channel, the not so good way but better than the last one, using a survival manual like the army's manuals, or the good way that is by taking survival skills courses.
Survival skills courses are training courses that are divided in usually three sections:
Modern wilderness survival (short term 1-4 days)
Bushcraft (medium term 4-40 days)
and Primitive survival techniques (long term 40 days or longer)
and now that i have put a list of the skills, its time for the equipment:
Survival knifes (for shelter making)
A type zippo or a survival lighter (for fire making)
A first aid kit or some of its components, like bandages or anything else
A compass and a topographic map (for navigation)
Glowsticks (since they are safe, visible, long lasting and help for navigation at night)
A survival lantern, or any lantern that could help!
